We are building culturally responsive health education, service navigation, social inclusion and community partnerships that help people connect with essential care.

About MHCI

Myanmar Health & Care Initiative Australia Inc. (MHCI) was established in February 2026 and incorporated as a Queensland not-for-profit association on 21 August 2026. We promote health equity, wellbeing and inclusive access to essential services, with a particular focus on Myanmar migrants, refugees and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Our objectives are to strengthen health literacy and disease prevention, improve access to healthcare, aged care, disability and mental health services, and support social inclusion and community participation. Early milestones include legal incorporation, obtaining an Australian Business Number (ABN), and developing our governance framework and organisational policies.

MHCI is now building culturally responsive programs and partnerships with healthcare providers, government agencies, councils, multicultural organisations, universities and community groups. Together, we aim to create practical, sustainable benefits for the communities we serve.
